All of our handymen have been briefed and educated on the healthy and safe practices to follow during this COVID-19 pandemic. We are conducting safe and sanitary practices for the benefit of our customers and essential workers:

      • Our handymen have adequate access to face masks, uniforms and other anti-bacterial cleaning supplies and sanitising products.
      • Social distancing will be practised outside and inside of customer’s homes.
      • Temperature readings are taken twice daily and closely monitored by our team.
      • Our equipment is always properly sanitised after every job.

Plumbing Services

Most plumbing services required during the Circuit Breaker are usually almost always an an emergency. If you are facing any of these plumbing emergencies, contact us for fast responses and effective handyman plumbing repairs to solve your plumbing issues quickly:

Plumbing Leaks

All leaks in your home should be addressed swiftly, as this would contribute significantly to your increased water bills. It may also cause further damage to the device or plumbing fixture, or even the surrounding surface area. As we are staying at home for an extended length of time, our electricity and water bills will also go up. Detecting plumbing leaks quickly during Circuit Breaker and fixing them promptly will save you money and added frustration.

Plumbing Chokes

Since everyone is staying at home due to the mandatory rule of the COVID-19 Circuit Breaker, many households might be experiencing plumbing chokes more often than they are used to, due to frequent and high volume usage of the facilities. This is one of the many common plumbing problems in households.

To prevent such chokes in the future, be sure not to dispose any food waste down the sink as much as possible, clear hair and other debris out of the shower drains often, and do not flush any un-flushable items down the toilet.

Rubbish Chute Replacement

Our rubbish chute replacement services are still available. Rubbish chutes are gateways to noxious odours and crawling pests which is unsafe and unsanitary for HDB and Condo households. As such, if your rubbish chute is in need of a replacement due to these hazards, we will gladly be of assistance to help you replace it and clean up, so you have one less thing to worry about while staying home.

Toilet Flush System Issues

Your toilet flush problems are similar to any of these symptoms, which will qualify for a plumbing service to be carried out. This could include a toilet flush repair or a replacement.
– Cannot flush
– Water overflow
– Water leaking inside of bowl or outside the tank area
– Flushing does not seem to stop
– Toilet flush tank cannot be refilled

Electrical Services

While working from home, it is pertinent to keep our various computer and mobile devices powered up. Working in a bright and conducive environment is also helpful to keep our productivity high. As such, facing issues with your lights, light switches or power sockets can cause great frustration and inconvenience.

When your electrical switches and outlets are showing signs of failing or is suddenly facing an emergency, please do not hesitate to call us, and we will be down quickly to restore them to working conditions. Important Updates on COVID-19 Circuit Breaker Measures

When Circuit Breaker was introduced in the vernacular on 3 April, many businesses were effectively immediately told to shut down operations within a few days’ notice. In light of that, it was declared that only essential services were allowed to continue operating. Thankfully, our handyman services fall under the essential businesses as it would involve home maintenance and repair works that were important to keep building infrastructure and Singapore resident’s lifestyle functioning.

Singapore COVID-19 ‘Circuit Breaker’ measures were announced to initially last from 7 April to 4 May. Since 21 April, it was announced that it will extend to 1 June. Subsequently, A1 HandymanSingapore remains grateful that we are allowed to operate in limited capacity, within the guidelines of government authorities; to be able to continue providing handyman services to our clients who are discovering more home maintenance issues, due to more frequent usage because of Work From Home (WFH) rules imposed. As of 19 May, it has been announced by the Ministry of Health that the Circuit Breaker rules will be lifted in three phases – allowing essential business to further operate in a freer capacity, but still maintaining COVID-19 safety protocols. This remains accurate information as of 20 May 2020.
